Learn how to create and integrate the moneymotion app with your Shopify store to start accepting payments seamlessly.

Create a Shopify App

To begin, you’ll need to create a new app on the Shopify Developer Dashboard.

1. Visit Shopify Developer Dashboard.

2. Click on Create App.

3. Enter your App Name and click on Create.

4. After the app is created, under URLs set App URL to https://moneymotion.io.

5. Under Access, add the following Scopes:

   write_draft_orders,
   read_draft_orders,
   read_orders,
   write_orders,
   write_third_party_fulfillment_orders,
   read_products

6. Further, under App Proxy, set Subpath prefix to apps, Subpath to moneymotion, and Proxy URL to https://api.moneymotion.io.

7. Now click on Release to release the app.

8. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret from your App Settings and save them for later.

9. Finally, click on Install from your App Homepage to install the app on your store.

Create Integration on moneymotion Dashboard

Once your Shopify app is set up, integrate it with moneymotion.

1. Go to moneymotion Dashboard > Developers > Shopify.

2. Click Add Integration.

3. Fill in the required fields:

   • Shop domain: e.g. myshop.shopify.com
   • Success redirect URL: your redirect page after checkout
   • Client ID: from your Shopify app
   • Client Secret: from your Shopify app

4. Click Add.

5. Copy the generated Integration ID and save it — you’ll need it later.

Add the Buy Button

You can now add the moneymotion Buy Button Script in your theme's layout file.

1. Go to your Shopify Dashboard > Themes > Customize >Open Code Editor > layout > theme.liquid file.

Paste the following script tag into your theme, product page, or custom section:

  data-integration-id="your_integration_id"
></script>

Replace your_integration_id with the actual integration ID you copied earlier.

That’s it! 🎉 You’ve successfully integrated moneymotion with your Shopify store. You can now start accepting secure payments directly through moneymotion.
